About the position The Senior Enterprise Data Governance Professional is responsible for implementing and operating the company's data governance program, ensuring data quality and consistency across the organization. This role involves overseeing data usage, system analysis, and data retention, while collaborating with various departments to maintain high data quality standards. The position also contributes to the development of data governance policies and standards, compiles reports on metrics, and benchmarks to identify trends. The Senior Enterprise Data Governance Professional is expected to influence departmental strategy and make decisions on complex issues with minimal direction. Responsibilities • Implement and operate the company's data governance program. , • Ensure data quality and consistency across the organization. , • Oversee data usage, system analysis, and data retention. , • Collaborate with other departments to maintain data quality standards. , • Contribute to the development of data governance and data standards policies. , • Maintain documentation on data governance and compile reports on metrics. , • Conduct benchmarking to identify trends and patterns. , • Influence departmental strategy and make decisions on complex issues. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Data Governance. , • Foundational knowledge and skillset in data analytics. , • 3 or more years of experience leading a team. , • Experience in the development of interactive reports using Power BI, Qlik, Tableau, or similar products. , • Critical thinker with the ability to anticipate team needs and take initiative. , • Self-starter who can work independently with minimal direction. , • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to non-technical professionals. , • Proven experience in consulting and building relationships with business partners. , • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels, including senior and executive leadership. , • Execution-driven mindset with openness to collaborate and present material to internal leadership teams. , • Ability to interpret findings and proactively identify process/strategy improvement opportunities. Nice-to-haves • Knowledge of Humana's internal policies, procedures, and systems. , • Prior experience with Data Automation. , • Experience analyzing data to solve a variety of business problems and create data visualizations.
