Software Engineering Advisor- Hybrid

The job profile for this position is Software Engineering Advisor which is a Band 4 Senior Contributor Career Track Role with Cigna-Evernorth Services, Inc. Responsibilities- • Plan and manage information technology projects including monitoring ongoing performance of systems and developing updates and modifications that are required in accordance with business needs; • Support legacy platform built in ColdFusion and support modernization efforts when possible; • Collaborate with Information Systems and Business to evaluate user requests, clarify objectives and functional requirements for new or modified computer programs; • Determine feasibility of new or modified computer programs, including time requirements, compatibility with current system and system capabilities; • Oversee coding of new or modified computer programs into existing systems and test program effectiveness; • Evaluate error messages, modify codes and troubleshoot programming problems; • Provide production operation support including system setup and processing and data extraction, as well as off-hour technical support with on-call rotation; • Collaborate with project team to formulate detailed program specifications using analysis and design methodology; • Define and implement applications in a multi-platform distributed environment; and • Provide assistance to team with issues needing technical expertise, including on-the-job training for new and existing team members. • Partial work from home benefit available. Qualifications- • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in any Engineering field • 3 years of experience as a Software Developer/Engineer, System Analyst, IT Technical Analyst, or a related occupation. • Experience implementing core design components. • Experience developing and enhancing existing IOT Application. • Experience writing and executing unit test cases in Dev Integration Testing. • Experience migrating Member Submitted Claims Applications on Pivotal Cloud Foundry environment for scalability. • Experience designing and developing middle layer connecting to DB2 and presenting data to end-users; • Experience developing microservices; and • Experience using: Secure File Transfer Protocol Java interface, Spring Boot, REACT JS, Jenkins, and JavaScript based UI framework.
