Clinical Staff Contractor The primary function of the Clinical Contractor is to complete Diagnostic Assessment (DA) with Adults affected by Mental Illness. The Clinical Contractor works as a team member in the delivery of services. The Clinical Contractor works within a team of professionals to design, deliver, evaluate and report on the services being provided by IHR. This position requires: • Minimum of a Master’s Degree or to be enrolled in a Master’s program and practicum in the mental health field • Licensed by a State Board to provide counseling (e.g., LICSW, LMFT,LPC, LPCC,PsyD)* • Must be able to pass a background study/check Experience: At least one year of supervised clinical experience with a broad range of presenting problems and therapies, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and experience completing Diagnostic Assessments. Some experience in Dual-Diagnosis / Co-Occurring Disorders Treatment. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: • Knowledge of the values, principles, and methodologies in the treatment of mental illness. • Good competence with providing Diagnostic Assessments (DA) • Ability to integrate social, medical, and psycho-therapeutic data in order to form a treatment plan and provide appropriate interventions (therapy, psycho-education, crisis intervention, skill training, etc.) and enter those data into the Electronic Health Record system (EHR) for billing services per DHS requirements (requires basic computer skills). • Have some Background in adult services and competence in dealing with various cultures. • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, families, co-workers, and other organizations and providers. • Excellent problem identification, problem-solving, and follow-through skills. • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills • Excellent organization skills and ability to prioritize workload • Preferred: Experience as a behavioral health clinician Employment Status: Independent Contractor.
