About the Role
The Company is in search of a Managing Director for its new sell-side investment banking arm, with a focus on lower middle market transactions in the consumer and industrial manufacturing sectors. The successful candidate will be tasked with leading and managing M&A transactions from inception to completion, developing and nurturing client relationships, and spearheading business development activities. This role demands a strategic thinker and leader with a proven track record in the lower middle market, particularly in the consumer and industrial manufacturing sectors. Key responsibilities include overseeing the full transaction process, from initial pitch to closing, and ensuring the delivery of tailored advisory services that align with clients' strategic goals. The Managing Director will also be responsible for financial modeling, valuation analysis, and the preparation of marketing materials, as well as mentoring and developing junior team members. Applicants for the Managing Director position should hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with an MBA or advanced degree preferred, and have at least 10 years' of experience in investment banking, specifically in sell-side M&A within the lower middle market. The role requires a candidate with strong financial acumen, exceptional negotiation and communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to lead and close transactions across various industries. A deep understanding of market dynamics, a strong network within the lower middle market, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service are essential.
