Our Home is seeking a Plant Accounting Manager who will be managing and overseeing the daily operations of the plant accounting department at multiple manufacturing locations. This individual will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, analyzing financial data, and providing valuable insights to support decision-making. As the Plant Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing accounting data and producing financial reports or statements and for establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies and principles. This position will report directly to the Manufacturing Controller. Key Responsibilities: • Manage and develop personnel, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge for their position • Oversee, including posting and approval of accounts payable batches to include proper three-way match, sales tax accuracy, and authorizations in a paperless process • Oversee resolution of accounts payable items for manufacturing facilities • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, month-end work papers, and other month-end duties as assigned • Accurate forecasting of facility operations through coordination with FP&A team • Analyze Profit Margins and Manufacturing Costs • Manage Month-end close process • Review and analyze PPV and Cost Variances • Develop and implement accounting processes • Assist with yearly updating of overhead and absorption rates • Submit Ad hoc Reporting Schedules to Plant Operations Management • Work with Operations team and Corporate FP&A to effectively and efficiently communicate activities of the plant to ensure budgets are being met and that transactions are being accurately recorded • Review and approval of accounting team journal entries • Other duties as assigned • Bachelor's degree in accounting and minimum of 5 years' experience as a senior plant accountant in or higher in manufacturing is REQUIRED • Minimum of 5 years' experience managing a team of 4 or more direct reports is REQUIRED • Detail-oriented; proficiency for accuracy; dependable; positive attitude; team player • Strong MS Office experience and proficiency with developing and using spreadsheets and/or databases • Above-average communication skills, both written and verbal • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and take ownership of assigned projects • Prior ERP experience required, and NetSuite experience preferred • Ability to identify improvement areas and drive automation in accounting processes. • Ability to travel up to 30% • Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision) • Retirement Plan (401k) • Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays) Apply Job!
