Bankruptcy Case Processor

Must be knowledgeable and familiar with procedures and general BK/FC milestones. Also be able to proficiently communicate with attorneys. Working regular hours in the office, on a non-remote basis, is an essential function of this position. • Management and oversight of all loans in bankruptcy, which includes monitoring and taking timely action on all current and delinquent bankruptcy accounts. • Work with lender attorney to file a Proof of Claim, Motion for Relief, or other applicable filings when appropriate. • Maintain contact with attorneys on all open bankruptcy files and respond to their inquiries and requests timely and appropriately. • Follow up on open bankruptcy files to ensure progression. • Ensure appropriate notices are sent to the trustee, debtor attorney, and debtor. • Receive and process payments for accounts in bankruptcy. • Take appropriate action on delinquent bankruptcy accounts. • Manage bankruptcy maintenance in the servicing system, which includes adding stops and bankruptcy codes as appropriate. • Process invoices from attorneys timely. • Communicate with trustee and debtor attorney. • Communicate with mortgagor as applicable. • Draft bankruptcy related procedures for submission to management. • Ensure approved procedures are available to all bankruptcy staff and assist staff in following bankruptcy procedures correctly. • Assist Special Servicing Processor in back-end loss mitigation tasks, which includes filing claims, data tracking, document preparation, etc. Qualifications • Mortgage related experience is helpful, but not required. • Organization skills. • Customer service skills. • Written and verbal skills. • Able to keep abreast of all changes and adapt them into daily routine. To maintain and ensure secure privacy of borrower (and other protected) information, an essential function of this job may require physical attendance in a defined office space.
