Dir, Pharmacy Optimization

Position Summary: The Director, Pharmacy Optimization is a key leader within Orlando Health’s pharmacy division, reporting directly to the Senior Director of Pharmacy Growth. This role is responsible for driving process and performance optimization initiatives across Orlando Health’s Pharmacy services, with a focus on enhancing efficiency and value delivery. Key Responsibilities: • Lead the identification and elimination of unnecessary complexity within pharmacy business processes to deliver better value and greater efficiency. • Collaborate closely with OH Pharmacy leadership, and other key stakeholders to assess and direct various initiatives related to workforce planning, revenue growth & optimization, audit defense, pharmacy analytics, and service line development. • Identify opportunities for leveraging technology in alignment with organizational goals. • Proactively engage with OH leaders, managed care, revenue cycle, business partners, and payers to analyze clinical, financial, and operational performance data and develop actionable insights to drive business performance. • Participate in setting the strategy, planning, implementation, development, and continuous improvement of pharmacy programs, services, and business offerings across Orlando Health and its subsidiaries. Responsibilities: Essential Functions • Monitors and evaluates pharmacy performance, supports business forecasting and implementation of new pharmacy programs, leads performance improvement and management strategies as needed. • Conducts post-implementation reviews to assess project success and identify areas for improvement. • Utilizes analytical skills to interpret industry trends and deliver data-driven solutions to difficult business challenges. • Works with organizational stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions. • Analyzes data from company databases to drive growth, optimization, and improvement of business strategies. • Uses predictive modeling to increase and optimize patient experiences, identify revenue generation opportunities, develop targeted marketing, and other business outcomes. • Coordinates with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes. • Develops processes and tools to monitor and analyze service line performance and data accuracy. • Supports the evaluation of pharmaceutical, third-party payer, and vendor relationships and contracting for all OH Pharmacy service lines to ensure they meet business objectives. • Supports the development and implementation of strategic collaborations for all existing and future pharmacy business lines (i.e. preferred or exclusive high volume home delivery contracts, specialty pharmacy contracts, home infusion contracts). • Partners with pharmacy leadership, and other business partners to identify cost savings opportunities and grow pharmacy services revenue. • Identifies and presents business cases for growth and optimization • Contributes to department planning, submission, and implementation of capitol requests. • Works with analysts on business development, operational, financial, and clinical utilization dashboards that support the pharmacy leadership team. • Performs trend analysis and other pharmacoeconomic reviews, reporting out regularly on performance. • Acts as liaison with other departments, other institutions, and organizations regarding collaborations, partnerships, joint ventures to drive new pharmacy business. • Other duties as assigned. • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures. Qualifications: Education/Training • Bachelor’s degree required • PharmD, MHA, MBA, MS strongly desired Licensure/Certification • LSSGB (preferred) • Licensed Pharmacist in the state of FL or eligible for FL licensure (preferred, if eligible must be obtained within 90 days of hire) • Licensed Consultant Pharmacist in the state of FL (preferred) Experience • A minimum of two (2) years of pharmacy leadership experience in a progressive, complex health system, experience with pharmacy finance, data analysis, project management and healthcare technology • Five (5) years of progressive work experience in a health system or pharmacy environment supporting performance improvement Remote About the Company: Orlando Health Apply Job!
