We are on a growth trajectory and are seeking an Insurance Claims Administrator to join our force. This position will report to our VP, Compliance & Strategic Projects and is a fully remote role. Job Summary The Insurance Claims Specialist is responsible for managing and processing insurance claims efficiently and accurately. This role involves reviewing claims for validity and compliance with policy guidelines, communicating with claimants and third parties, and working closely with various departments to ensure a seamless claims process. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and excellent customer service abilities to support and guide clients through the claims process. What you’ll do: • Claims Processing: • Review and evaluate insurance claims submitted by claimants and third parties for completeness and accuracy. • Process claims in accordance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines. • Ensure timely and efficient claims resolution. • Communication and Support: • Serve as the primary point of contact for claimants and third parties regarding claims inquiries, providing exceptional customer service. • Communicate clearly with clients about claim status, required documentation, and any issues that may arise. • Liaise between claimants and third parties, insurers, and other relevant parties to facilitate communication related to claims. • Documentation Management: • Maintain accurate records of all claims transactions, including correspondence, documentation, and decisions. • Ensure that all required documentation is submitted for claim processing, and follow up on outstanding documentation. • Assessment and Evaluation: • Analyze submitted claims to determine eligibility and validity, identifying any flags for potential fraud or errors. • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., underwriting, risk management) to assess claims and get additional information as needed. • Reporting and Compliance: • Prepare reports related to claims activity, trends, and performance metrics for management review. • Stay informed of industry developments, regulatory changes, and best practices to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. • Dispute Resolution: • Investigate and resolve disputes arising from claims decisions, working to find amicable solutions for all parties involved. • Prepare documentation and assist in the appeals process as needed. What you’ll need: • 2+ years experience in insurance claims or related role is required • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or a related field preferred. • Previous experience in insurance claims administration or a related role is a plus. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Proficiency in using claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite. • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
