Part-Time Social Studies Teacher - Online School

About the position The Part-Time Social Studies Teacher at iSucceed Virtual Schools is responsible for facilitating online courses for high school students. This role emphasizes motivating and inspiring students to achieve their educational goals while adhering to established procedures and expectations. The teacher will manage course content, engage with students, and uphold educational standards in a virtual learning environment. Responsibilities • Facilitate online courses using established instructional practices. , • Manage courses, curriculum, and communications for students. , • Demonstrate problem-solving skills to enhance the learning experience. , • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve school goals. , • Respond to student and family inquiries within 24 hours. , • Grade assessments and provide feedback within 72 hours. , • Conduct weekly synchronous sessions or video instruction for each course. , • Attend staff meetings and assist with student orientation and test proctoring. , • Sponsor school club activities as assigned. , • Submit expense claims and manage sick time appropriately. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in a relevant academic program or related field. , • Valid Idaho Teacher Certification with proper endorsements. , • Experience teaching in an online setting preferred. , • Strong communication skills in English, both oral and written. , • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Nice-to-haves • Experience teaching non-traditional students. , • Familiarity with Google Apps for Education. , • Multiple language abilities.
