Dir, ITSM & Availability Management - REMOTE

Job Details The stated pay range is based on a national average location. Actual salary is determined by factors including relevant work experience, skills, and location. This position is bonus-eligible. CNO Financial Group’s IT Team is hiring a Dir, ITSM & Availability Management who will have overall accountability for the availability of technology systems, with a primary focus on incident management and driving technical teams to recover services during periods of service disruption to key applications and technology platforms. This role requires exceptional communication skills, a strong ability to influence outside their direct span of control across the technology organization, and an in-depth understanding of how capabilities and technology interrelate across the enterprise. This position is a strategic thinker role with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of ITIL best practices. As a Dir, ITSM & Availability Management , your responsibilities will include : Overall accountability for the availability of technology systems, leading problem, event, and incident management for the enterprise Overall accountability for technology systems disaster recovery planning, testing, and continuous improvement, ensuring the organization is prepared for successful recovery of a significant event Overall accountability for the change management process and associated activities, ensuring proper testing and risk management Serving as the Product Owner for the IT Service Management and Operations platform (ServiceNow), IT observability framework, and associated processes; creating roadmaps and prioritizing the backlog reflecting enterprise-wide priorities; providing execution leadership to ensure successful delivery of roadmap Influencing technology currency roadmaps to reduce risk and drive increased systems availability; leveraging data-driven decision-making and trend analysis Indirect leadership of management, technicians, and contractors during events, incidents, root cause analysis & corrective action plan creation and disaster recovery / business continuity activities across the enterprise, including applications, infrastructure, data, and cyber security organizations. Direct leadership of 5-10 onshore / offshore contractors under a managed services agreement The Dir, ITSM & Availability Management position is well-suited for you if you : Have strong knowledge of ITSM, ITIL, and related tooling; ServiceNow preferred Are able to influence and lead cross-functional teams in high-pressure situations with a sense of urgency Are a strong communicator with the ability to communicate with a diverse audience ranging from developers to technology executives in a fast-paced environment Possess expert technical acumen and analytical skills with the ability to aid teams with troubleshooting issues, challenge decisions, and identify trends driving proactive measures Have strong analytical, data-processing, and problem-solving skills. Are proficient in process formulation and improvement. What you’ll need : A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Technology, or related computing major 10 years of relevant work experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role (contractors or FTE’s). Compensation
