Part-time Community Specialist (Remote, US)

Purpose Jobs is the largest startup and tech community in the Midwest. We help purpose-driven companies grow their employer brand and tell their authentic story to help attract and retain talent. Our audience engages in the community through a weekly newsletter, local and virtual events, and our Purpose Slack Community. Position Summary: The Community Specialist will be center stage in our community, fostering connection, facilitating conversations, elevating community members’ voices, driving community engagement, and helping more people discover and join our communities on Fairygodboss and Purpose Slack Community. You will: -Engage in the Fairygodboss and Purpose Jobs communities throughout each week as a visible facilitator, leader, and representative of our brands (in text and video formats) -Refresh and manage the Fairygodboss VIP program, working directly with our most active community members on special opportunities and requests to engage -Brainstorm and implement strategies to increase community member engagement in the Purpose Jobs Slack Community -Track community metrics each week, identifying, sharing, and acting on trends to iteratively improve value to community members and employers -Partner with the product team to ideate and roll out features that help engage and grow our community -Partner with internal teams to integrate community activity and partners into events that feature employers (Ask Me Anything Series as an example) -Partner with the editorial and social team to contribute original content to social channels and engage with Fairygodboss and Purpose Jobs social audiences You should: -Be a connector and communicator who energizes people by facilitating and participating in conversations -Be generative and have good judgment - drive ideas and projects forward independently and pull in the right people at the right time -Have experience growing and engaging an audience of hundreds of thousands or more -Be metrics-minded and capable of prioritizing the right opportunities based on potential scale and impact -Be a brand builder and ambassador, maintaining the voice of Fairygodboss or Purpose Jobs in all communications -Be a resource to jobs seekers and employers looking for advice or to learn more about our services Pay Range: $20 - $30/hour Position Type: Part-time (up to 20 hours per week) Location: Remote • The requirements above are our best efforts at describing who would be successful in this position.
