Web/Graphic Designer (Full-Time Remote)

Rains Birchard Marketing is seeking a talented graphic designer to join our team. This is a full-time, remote position, joining our 100% remote company. Open to candidates located within the greater Portland, Oregon Metropolitan area. Candidates will need a dedicated home office conducive to performing their job functions (PC or Mac is fine). Our creative marketing firm’s focus is primarily business to business (B2B) marketing, with clients who often are manufacturers, in financial services, commercial vehicles, and other related industries. Our clients range in size from small startups all the way up to divisions of large global corporations. We earn our keep by being described by our clients as partners rather than vendors. We also strive to maintain long-term relationships with clients, many of whom have been on our roster for many years, and some client contacts we’ve been privileged to be engaged with at multiple companies, with relationships stretching back nearly two decades. We’re looking for someone who is creative, detail-oriented, and a self-starter. While you’ll be working independently, you’ll not be alone. Our team works to ensure connectedness and a sense of company culture through routine use of video conferencing, messaging, email and old fashioned phone calls. And we come together in person for the occasional office lunch or other company sponsored events. Our agency is full service and allows our designers to work on a variety of projects and therefore require a broad skill set. Our ideal graphic designer is adept with Adobe’s suite of products, in particular Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. We’d also like someone with experience working in Canva with social media production and management skills. We're seeking someone who is experienced with Wordpress, understands basic HTML and CSS, and familiarity with the Avada Wordpress theme is a bonus. Other valuable skills for this position include experience with trade show design, social media marketing, website design and development, and client facing experience. Proven knowledge and experience in 3D modeling/animation (Cinema 4D/Octane), photography/videography (production/editing), Google Analytics, copy writing/editing/proofing or other skills would be great but not necessary. Responsibilities: • Create concepts based on requirements • Prepare rough drafts and present ideas • Collaborate on projects with other agency staff, including project manager • Adhere to client specific brand design guidelines • Manage revisions and version control • Work with creative director to produce final design • Prep final files for production, publication, etc. based upon requirements • Be a creative problem solver! Skills / Requirements: • Proven graphic/web design experience (5 year minimum) • A portfolio of work to share • Oregon or SW Washington Based / US Citizen • Adept with Adobe design software such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and Photoshop • Experienced in web design and the use of Wordpress • Competence with Google’s G-Suite • Solid communication skills, mastery of the English language • Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines • Dedicated work space with capable computer (Mac or PC) and high-speed internet • West Coast office hours (8:30am - 5pm PST) • Non-disclosure and Non-compete agreements will need to be signed due to existing agreements the agency is under with some clients • May need to travel a couple of times per year for client or company meetings, trade shows, etc. This will be occasional at most.
