Japanese/English Simultaneous Interpreter (Part-Time/Evening shift)

Looking for evening-shift interpreters, approx. 4 to 5 hours/day, between 5:00 PM and 10:00 PM (EST) except Fridays, though your hours are dictated by your capability. You might occasionally be asked to support morning meetings. Job Responsibilities • Experienced Japanese/English SIMULTANEOUS Interpreter (both directions: Japanese to English and English to Japanese). 4-year college degree with a few years of experience, or if no college, at least 5 years of interpretation experience. Requirements: • Provide accurate SIMULTANEOUS interpretation remotely (equipment provided) for meetings.. As an interpreter dispatched by your agency to work , it is critical that both your Japanese and English be smooth and easy to understand. Although translation is minimal, you are expected to translate documents accurately and quickly, if and when necessary. • The work hours will likely be irregular to meet the work demands, but the goal will be to keep your hours around 20 hours/week.
