Job summary:

UPS Freight, an industry leader in logistics and supply chain management, is currently seeking a professional and experienced Tractor Trailer Operator for local routes. Our Tractor Trailer Operators play a vital role in maintaining the trust of our customers, ensuring timely, safe, and efficient delivery of products.

Responsibilities:

– Safely operate a heavy or tractor-trailer truck

– Load and unload cargo

– Properly track and document activity log

– Report any issues or incidents to dispatch

– Inspect truck before and after trip

Requirements:

– Minimum of 1 year of recent Class A driving experience

– Commercial driver’s license (CDL-A)

– Ability to handle physical workload

– Strong work ethic

– Must pass a DOT physical and drug test

– Clean driving record

Educational Qualifications:

– High school diploma or GED

– Current, valid CDL-A license

Experience:

– Proven work experience as a truck driver

– Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB, etc.)

– Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations

– Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
