Job Description

As a Cabin Crew Assistant, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the passenger experience, ensuring safety, and maintaining the high standards of service that American Airlines is known for. This position is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, global environment.

Responsibilities

– Assist the cabin crew in preparing the cabin for flights

– Attend pre-flight briefings and learn about details such as emergency procedures and the flight’s itinerary

– Help in checking the safety equipment, ensuring all onboard meals and supplies are stocked adequately

– Assist passengers with boarding, demonstrating safety procedures, and addressing any immediate needs they might have during the flight

– Respond to emergencies and provide necessary assistance to passengers and crew

– Collect and secure duty-free payments when necessary

– Help ensure the cabin is clean and tidy throughout the flight

– Participate in post-flight debriefings and preparations for the next flight

Requirements

– Minimum age of 18 years

– High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in hospitality or related field is a plus

– Ability to pass a rigorous background check and drug screening

– Comfortable working in confined spaces and adjusting to varying climate conditions and altitudes

– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

– Multilingual skills are an advantage but not mandatory

– Flexibility to work on a rotating schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays

– Physically fit to manage duties that involve stretching, reaching, bending, and lifting luggage and equipment up to 35 pounds

Educational Qualifications

– High school diploma or GED equivalent is required

– Higher education or certifications related to aviation, hospitality, or customer service can enhance candidacy but are not mandatory

Experience

– Prior experience in customer service, hospitality, or related fields is preferred but not necessary as comprehensive training will be provided
