Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our Business Office team, specializing in hospice-related claims for a large health system. This role is essential in processing billing for both inpatient hospital and outpatient physician claims. Key Responsibilities ? Process billing for inpatient hospital and outpatient physician claims. ? Conduct follow-ups on billing inquiries. ? Route self-pay and residential contracts. ? Post payments and manage accounts payable. Opportunities ? After a successful training period of 6-8 months, there may be an opportunity to transition to a hybrid remote schedule. ? Competitive pay rate of (17 to )25 per hour, based on experience.

Qualifications

Must-Haves: ? 3-4 years of experience in a Medical Biller role or related revenue cycle position. ? Proficiency in following up on government claims, particularly Medicare and Medicaid. ? Experience with Epic for billing functions. Plusses ? Epic certification. ? Familiarity with Availity as a payer portal. ? Experience in managing denials. ? Experience following up on commercial claims via phone. ? Background in hospital billing. ? Experience with insurance verification.
