Database Engineer • Part-time Remote 3-6 month project that could build into full time. Here is the brief overview of the project ... Experience: 5-10 years Job: • Ability to create and manage complex queries • Ability to support a large Postgresql database in Azure • Ability to support an AzureSQL database in Azure • Ability to perform full backups and restore • Ability to monitor capacity and performance • Ability to review explain plans and performance metrics and optimize the database • Ability to work CST hours • Ability to work with developers • Experience managing tasks in Azure Dev Ops (ADO) or Jira • MSFT Event Hub and streaming data experience that would be a plus. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Experience with SQL and working with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Azure SQL Database).. Understanding of data warehouses and dimensional data models. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. Very Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
