Lionbridge is seeking self-starting freelance Over-the-Phone Interpreters for Puular, Igbo, Foo Chow, Bambara, Soninke, Fukienese, Quiche, Shuar, Hmong, Dari/Farsi for ongoing interpretation projects across industries such as Legal, Healthcare and Government. Over-the-Phone Interpreters for Lionbridge are responsible for handling calls on demand to correctly identify and provide meaning... in conversations between speakers of two different languages. What You Will Do ? Accept and take ownership of on-demand incoming calls and conversations ? Identify the meaning of conversations across two different language while remaining current, courteous, and professional on sensitive subjects across differing cultures and locations ? Receive projects typically presented in the from of three-way calls, lasting roughly 10-30 minutes each during regular US business hours ? Receive training on and use appropriate industry terminology, displaying common industry procedures and practices To Be Successful You Will Have ? Advanced abilities in two or more languages (spoken) ? Exceptional memory retention, note-taking, and communication skills in the appropriate language(s) ? The ability to complete and pass a language assessment in the languages you will be assigned to ? Prior experience in Interpretation or Language Services is a plus, but not required In Return, You Can Expect ?
