About WeVote: WeVote is a nonpartisan get-out-the-vote nonprofit startup and a celebrated Fast Forward nonprofit technology grantee. WeVote is building a movement of excellent, passionate, part-time volunteers (starting with the founders) who build mobile technologies that will touch and mobilize millions of voters on Election Day. More information at Position Overview: Join the WeVote Movement as a TikTok Content Creator and Spokesperson (Volunteer), where you will play a crucial role in shaping and delivering entertaining yet educational content on WeVote's TikTok channel. This remote position will involve collaboration with our Video Team to produce compelling videos that address important election and voting topics. Responsibilities: Ideation: Collaborate with the Video Team to brainstorm and develop original concepts for TikTok videos On-Camera Presence: Showcase your comfort and captivation on-camera as you become the spokesperson for WeVote, delivering engaging content to the TikTok audience Content Creation: Record and produce TikTok videos, ensuring they are entertaining, informative, and align with WeVote's mission Editing: While not mandatory, preferred ability to edit videos independently, including adding captions and graphics. This skill will be valuable in streamlining the production process Who You Are: Must-Haves: On-Camera Comfort: A natural on-camera presence with the ability to captivate and connect with the audience TikTok Expertise: Demonstrable experience in creating TikTok content, understanding the platform's trends, and adapting content to resonate with the audience Passion for Democracy: Genuine passion for promoting American Democracy and inspiring voter turnout for elections Time Commitment: Able to commit 2-3+ hours per week, with at least 1-2 hours available during business hours for collaboration with the team Tools Proficiency: Experience in CapCut and/or Canva is a plus, though not mandatory Join the WeVote Movement: If you are enthusiastic about being a volunteer spokesperson for democracy, eager to contribute to the WeVote movement, and possess the creativity to thrive on TikTok, we want you on our team.
