[Remote] Project Manager, Politics/Social Impact

They are seeking an organized and execution-focused Project Manager to manage client initiatives from concept through implementation, ensuring projects are delivered effectively and efficiently in alignment with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and evaluation of multiple projects simultaneously
  • Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, key impact metrics
  • Drive projects forward in collaboration with the firm's partners, proactively identifying and resolving challenges before they impact outcomes
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and to our high standard of quality
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, policymakers, nonprofits, and other stakeholders
  • Facilitate meetings by preparing agendas, taking notes, and synthesizing (and tracking) action items for all participants
  • Translate complex information into clear updates and recommendations for diverse audiences
  • Implement systems, tools, and workflows that improve project management and organizational effectiveness
  • Manage project documentation, budgets, contracts, and compliance requirements
  • Work with colleagues at Impactual to ensure alignment across teams and clients
  • Serve as the central coordinator for incoming research and project requests, ensuring requests are properly documented, prioritized, and tracked through completion
  • Maintain meticulous records of all incoming requests using Airtable, Google Sheets, or similar tracking systems
  • Produce regular status reports and dashboards to communicate priorities, progress, and needs to internal and external stakeholders

Skills

  • A minimum of 3-5 years professional work experience, preferably with political or nonprofit organizations
  • Strong Organizational Skills. You have a track record of excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Meticulous Attention to Detail. You have a keen attention to detail, ability to work well with Google Sheets, and always review something twice before completing it. You will work to ensure there are zero dropped balls
  • Effective Communication. Honestly, proactively, and effectively communicates information across teams and stakeholders, asks questions, remains open to feedback, and builds and maintains relationships; observes and adapts to others' decision-making, alignment, and communication styles
  • Open to Feedback. This is a fast-paced and high feedback environment. You proactively take ownership over your job duties, ask for help, anticipate problems, and propose solutions for efficient execution. You also must be able to give and receive helpful, constructive feedback with positive intention
  • Highly Professional. Handle highly sensitive information with discretion and professionalism and represent the firm professionally in all interactions
