[Remote] Software Engineer, CDN Security
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Vercel is an agentic infrastructure company that shapes how the web is built. They are seeking a Software Engineer to join their CDN Security team, responsible for securing customer websites by identifying malicious traffic patterns and ensuring valid traffic for their customers.
Responsibilities
- Analyze traffic patterns to identify bad traffic and bad actors
- Build & operate a scalable low latency Firewall for millions of websites
- Push the state of the art forward for web security
Skills
- At least 3 years of relevant experience handling denial of service attacks
- Knowledgeable and experienced with web servers, and network protocols (e.g. HTTP, TCP)
- Experience with distributed systems
- Experience working in Go or Lua
- Advanced Bot Detection & Observability capabilities
