[Remote] Modeling & Analytics Lead

U.S. Financial Technology (U.S. FinTech) is seeking an experienced Modeling & Analytics Lead to join our team of talented professionals. The role focuses on delivering operational excellence in the administration of mortgage-backed securities and involves collaboration with various stakeholders to improve systems and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Reverse engineer and maintain deal level payrules used to calculate multi-class securitization factors and payments
  • Onboard securities/deals to facilitate bond administration and IRS tax calculations and reporting
  • Participate in status meetings with clients and other key stakeholders
  • Collaborate with product owners and key stakeholders to identify and implement system and process improvement opportunities
  • Support internal/external audit exams
  • Develop queries, analyses, or reports from applications for operations or management staff of assigned business unit(s), or develop specifications for such queries or analyses to be performed by others
  • Lead/participate in testing and acceptance of newly developed platform functionality
  • Train and mentor more junior analysts

Skills

  • Bachelors in Business Administration, Finance, technical discipline, or industry related experience
  • Minimum 7 years with 3 years of related experience in the Mortgage-backed Securities industry
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring employer sponsorship currently or in the future
  • Knowledge of MBS and the housing finance industry
  • Strong analytical and technical skillset (e.g. SQL, VBA, C++) including Excel formulas and functions
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Strong team player and has the capacity to work collaboratively and effectively with cross functional teams in a fast-paced environment
