As a Chat Support Representative, you will be the first point of contact, shaping first impressions, answering critical questions, and guiding users toward the resources they need. Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all inbound chat inquiries, ensuring every interaction reflects arenaflex’s friendly and professional tone.
  • Provide accurate, up‑to‑date information about arenaflex’s programs, events, volunteer opportunities, and conservation initiatives.
  • Guide users through the arenaflex website, helping them locate resources such as trail maps, educational materials, donation portals, and event registrations.
  • Resolve concerns, complaints, or technical issues efficiently while maintaining a calm and empathetic demeanor.
  • Document each chat interaction in the support ticketing system, capturing key details for follow‑up, trend analysis, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the communications, outreach, and program teams to stay informed about new initiatives, policy updates, and seasonal events.
  • Identify recurring questions or pain points and propose enhancements to FAQs, knowledge bases, or chat workflows.
  • Participate in regular training sessions, webinars, and team meetings to sharpen product knowledge and customer‑service skills.
  • Assist in the creation of engaging chat scripts, canned responses, and resource links that reflect arenaflex’s brand voice.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive donor or volunteer information.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Environmental Studies, or a related field is a strong plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1‑2 years in a customer‑service, help‑desk, or chat‑support role, preferably within a nonprofit or environmentally focused organization.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written communication with a focus on clarity, empathy, and concise problem‑solving.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with chat platforms (e.g., Intercom, LiveChat, Zendesk Chat) and CRM or ticketing systems.
  • Problem‑Solving Ability: Demonstrated capacity to think on your feet, prioritize multiple requests, and deliver solutions under time pressure.
