We are seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Customer Engineer who will serve as a trusted advisor and technical champion for our North American customers. In this role, you will partner closely with technical sales teams, product managers, and engineering specialists to design, demonstrate, and deliver data‑analytics solutions that differentiate arenaflex Cloud in the marketplace. Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Engagement & Discovery: Work with sales and solution teams across North America to identify, qualify, and prioritize business opportunities. Conduct deep‑dive technical discovery sessions to understand customer pain points, data‑lifecycle challenges, and strategic objectives.
  • Solution Architecture & Design: Design end‑to‑end data‑analytics architectures on arenaflex Cloud, including data warehouses, data lakes, streaming pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and governance frameworks. Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and cost‑effective technical solutions.
  • Proof‑of‑Concept (PoC) Leadership: Lead PoC initiatives that showcase the value of arenaflex Cloud’s analytics capabilities. Build prototypes, run performance benchmarks, and articulate results to both technical and executive audiences.
  • Technical Advocacy & Thought Leadership: Serve as the subject‑matter expert for data analytics, delivering product briefings, whitepapers, and technical workshops. Influence product roadmaps by providing feedback from real‑world deployments and emerging market trends.
  • Collaboration with Product Management: Partner with product managers to prioritize feature enhancements, resolve migration blockers, and shape the future of arenaflex Cloud’s analytics portfolio.
  • Sales Enablement: Support bid responses, RFI/RFP processes, and develop compelling sales messaging that highlights arenaflex Cloud’s differentiators. Use visual aids such as whiteboards, slide decks, and live demos to convey complex concepts simply.
  • Technical Troubleshooting & Support: Provide expert guidance on data migration, schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning. Assist customers in overcoming technical obstacles throughout the data lifecycle—from ingestion to visualization.
  • Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Coach junior engineers and share best practices across the technical team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 6 years of hands‑on experience designing, implementing, or supporting cloud‑native architectures in a customer‑facing or technical support role.
  • Proven ability to engage and present to both technical stakeholders and senior executives, translating technical detail into strategic business outcomes.
  • Solid foundation in Big Data technologies and concepts, including data warehousing, data processing, transformation, governance, migrations, ETL/ELT, SQL, NoSQL, and performance or scalability optimizations for batch and streaming workloads.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in technical sales, consulting, or pre‑sales engineering for cloud computing, data analytics, or Big Data solutions.
  • Demonstrated expertise in architecture design, schema development, and query optimization for distributed, high‑volume systems.
  • Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, storage, platform services, and the broader cloud market dynamics, including customer buying behavior.
  • Hands‑on experience building data warehouses, data lakes, real‑time event processing pipelines, and data visualization solutions on cloud‑native platforms.
  • Ability to decompose complex customer requirements into modular, reusable technical architectures that align with business goals.

  • Technical Proficiency: Mastery of SQL, Python, Java, or Scala; familiarity with tools such as Apache Beam, Spark, Flink, BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake, or similar.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong problem‑solving skills, with the capacity to diagnose performance bottlenecks and propose data‑centric solutions.
  • Communication Excellence: Ability to craft clear, compelling narratives for diverse audiences, from data engineers to C‑suite executives.
  • Collaboration: Proven track record of working cross‑functionally with sales, product, engineering, and support teams.

Compensation, Perks & Benefits

  • Base salary ranging from $159,000 to $239,000, calibrated to role, level, and location.
