Our mission is to push the boundaries of how audiences discover, enjoy, and engage with media, while maintaining an unwavering commitment to security, privacy, and operational excellence. As a fully remote‑first organization, arenaflex empowers its employees to work from anywhere in the United States, fostering a culture of autonomy, collaboration, and continuous learning.

At arenaflex, risk isn’t just a compliance checkbox—it’s a strategic advantage. Our risk‑management philosophy blends data‑driven insight with innovative modeling techniques to anticipate threats, protect our platform, and enable bold product decisions. If you thrive on turning complex data into actionable risk intelligence, love solving ambiguous problems, and enjoy partnering with cross‑functional teams, this is the role for you.

Why This Role Matters – The Impact You’ll Have

As a Security Risk Engineer (L4) and Data Analyst you will be at the heart of arenaflex’s risk ecosystem. You will design, build, and operationalize analytical frameworks that power risk‑aware decision making across product, engineering, and executive leadership. Your work will directly influence how arenaflex evaluates new features, protects user data, and maintains the trust of millions of subscribers worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Risk Modeling & Analytics: Develop and maintain quantitative risk models (FAIR, Monte‑Carlo simulations, stochastic processes) that translate raw security data into clear risk scores and forecasts.
  • Data Visualization & Reporting: Create intuitive dashboards and executive‑level presentations that convey risk trends, mitigation effectiveness, and strategic recommendations.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, engineers, legal, and compliance teams to embed risk considerations into the product lifecycle from concept to launch.
  • Data Engineering & Preparation: Extract, clean, and transform large data sets from internal logs, third‑party threat feeds, and cloud security platforms using SQL, Python, and R.
  • Incident Scenario Development: Craft realistic “what‑if” scenarios that help business units understand potential loss exposure and prioritize remediation efforts.
  • Control Framework Enhancement: Contribute to the evolution of arenaflex’s security control library by identifying gaps, recommending new controls, and measuring control efficacy.
  • Risk Communication: Translate technical risk findings into business‑friendly language, ensuring senior leadership can make informed, timely decisions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with emerging security threats, industry best practices, and advanced analytics techniques to keep arenaflex’s risk program ahead of the curve.
  • Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Coach junior analysts and engineers, fostering a culture of data literacy and risk awareness throughout the organization.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in security risk analysis, data analytics, or a comparable role.
  • Proficiency in statistical programming languages such as R or Python, and strong SQL querying skills.
  • Hands‑on experience with risk modeling frameworks (FAIR, Monte‑Carlo, Bayesian inference) and the ability to apply them to real‑world security data.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment, managing priorities and delivering high‑quality results without direct supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of presenting complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical mindset, meticulous attention to detail, and a passion for turning data into strategic insight.

Preferred Qualifications & Nice‑to‑Have Skills

  • Master’s degree or relevant certifications (CISSP, CRISC, GSEC, or similar).
  • Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools, vulnerability scanners, or cloud security platforms.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
  • Knowledge of privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and how they intersect with risk management.
  • Background in software development or DevSecOps, enabling you to embed risk controls directly into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to design and conduct risk workshops, tabletop exercises, and incident response drills.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Analytical Rigor: Ability to dissect large, noisy data sets, identify patterns, and draw statistically sound conclusions.
  • Strategic Thinking: Translate risk metrics into business impact, aligning security priorities with corporate objectives.
  • Collaboration: Work seamlessly across distributed teams, respecting diverse perspectives and fostering inclusive decision‑making.
  • Communication: Craft clear, concise reports and visualizations that resonate with executives, engineers, and non‑technical audiences alike.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a fast‑moving environment where priorities shift, new threats emerge, and innovative solutions are required.
  • Ethical Judgment: Uphold the highest standards of data privacy, confidentiality, and integrity in every analysis.
