Key Responsibilities

Provide Comprehensive Support: Offer guidance and assistance to various categories of employees, including beginning teachers, alternative licensure teachers, and those new to the district. Your aim is to facilitate their seamless integration into the district and, more specifically, into the classroom environment. Design and Deliver Professional Learning: Develop and implement tailored professional development programs for all district teachers, with a focus on those who may require additional support. Your expertise will help enhance teaching methodologies and foster continuous improvement among educators. Collaborate for Compliance: Work closely with various stakeholders, including academic departments, human resources, school administrators, and mentor coordinators, to ensure adherence to state, federal, and local Beginning Teacher Support Program requirements. Your coordination efforts will ensure systemic compliance and effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs): Possess considerable knowledge of educational programs and licensure requirements. Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office and coaching methodologies. Exhibit critical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication skills. Education and Experience: Hold a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field, along with four years of teaching experience in a public school setting. Previous experience in planning and delivering professional development is desirable. Certification and License Requirements: Must hold or be eligible for a North Carolina Professional Educator's License. Valid motor vehicle operator's license required.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced Credentials: A Master's degree in Education or School Administration is preferred. Experience in mentorship or instructional facilitation roles is advantageous. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Building Relationships: Foster strong connections with new and beginning teachers, mentors, and school administrators to identify support needs effectively. Mentoring and Support: Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to beginning teachers, addressing areas such as curriculum, instruction, and classroom management. Customized Support Plans: Develop and implement personalized support plans for teachers, encompassing orientation, mentoring, coaching, and professional learning opportunities. Evaluation and Monitoring: Assess the effectiveness of training initiatives and monitor compliance with licensure and evaluation systems. Work Environment/Physical Requirements This role operates primarily in a professional office environment, with occasional travel to schools and other locations.
