Key Responsibilities

Guest Interaction & Service Excellence

  • Greet every customer with a warm, approachable demeanor, establishing a positive first impression.
  • Assist shoppers in locating products, offering product knowledge, and suggesting complementary items to enhance their purchase.
  • Answer questions about store policies, promotions, and merchandise with confidence and accuracy.
  • Resolve customer concerns promptly, turning potential challenges into opportunities for delight.

Store Presentation & Merchandising

  • Maintain clean, well‑stocked aisles by regularly replenishing shelves and organizing merchandise.
  • Receive deliveries, unload trucks, and efficiently move inventory from the stockroom to the sales floor.
  • Execute planograms and visual standards to ensure products are displayed attractively and accessibly.
  • Conduct regular floor walks to identify and correct any gaps in product placement or presentation.

Transaction Processing & Cash Handling

  • Operate the point‑of‑sale (POS) system with precision, scanning items, applying discounts, and processing payments.
  • Handle cash, credit, and electronic transactions securely, adhering to company cash‑handling policies.
  • Balance cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift, reporting any discrepancies immediately.

Safety, Security & Store Operations

  • Maintain vigilance over the store environment, identifying and addressing safety hazards promptly.
  • Assist in loss‑prevention initiatives, such as monitoring high‑traffic areas and reporting suspicious activity.
  • Participate in routine store opening and closing procedures, ensuring all operational tasks are completed accurately.
  • Support team members across departments during peak periods, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; a commitment to learning and following operational guidelines is essential.
  • Experience: Prior experience in retail, hospitality, food service, or a similar customer‑facing environment is advantageous.
  • Physical Ability: Capable of lifting up to 40 lb regularly (occasionally up to 55 lb), and comfortable with frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, and climbing.
  • Availability: Flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet the needs of a dynamic retail environment.
