[Remote] Recruiting Analysis – Full-Stack Software Engineer (FinTech Startup)

Remote · USA Full-time New today

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Dice is a US-based fintech startup focused on embedding trust into payment flows through innovative technology. They are seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer to build and maintain web application functionality, implement backend services, and support partner integrations in a collaborative, execution-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain full-stack functionality in our web application (TypeScript, React/NextJS, NestJS, AWS)
  • Implement backend services and APIs that support secure global payment workflows
  • Collaborate with product, design, and QA to deliver a high-quality user experience
  • Provide support to answer technical questions from the team
  • Apply best practices for secure, testable, scalable code
  • Contribute to improvements in system architecture, reliability, and developer workflows
  • Support the technical success of partner implementations: scoping integrations, guiding API usage, and resolving blockers through launch
  • Work directly with partner technical teams during integration to troubleshoot and unblock deployment
  • Partner with Customer Success to investigate and resolve production issues (infrequent, but responsiveness matters)
  • Improve internal tooling and visibility — logs, dashboards, admin tools, event history — to make troubleshooting faster
  • Maintain implementation documentation, runbooks, and integration support materials
  • Use AI-assisted development tools actively in day-to-day coding to ship higher-quality work, faster
  • Identify opportunities to embed AI into internal processes and operations — support workflows, partner onboarding, documentation, internal tooling — and build the integrations to make it real
  • Help raise the bar across the team for what good AI-assisted workflows look like
  • Share ownership of platform delivery, including participation in an on-call rotation (issues are infrequent)

Skills

  • 1–3 years of professional full-stack software engineering experience (internships and meaningful co-ops count)
  • CS degree or equivalent technical foundation — we care more about fundamentals than credentials
  • Solid TypeScript and modern web development experience
  • Production experience with React or a comparable frontend framework (NextJS)
  • Experience building backend services and REST APIs in Node.js (NestJS, Express, or similar)
  • Strong debugging instincts — comfortable tracing issues across frontend, backend, and infrastructure
  • Clear written and verbal communication — essential for remote work and partner-facing conversations
  • Self-starter with high ownership and proactive judgment
  • Comfortable in a fast-moving, changing product environment
  • Hands-on, active user of AI development tools — you reach for AI as a default, not an afterthought, and have opinions on where it helps vs. where it doesn't
  • Experience supporting B2B API integrations or implementation-heavy products
  • Fintech experience, especially payments or compliance-related systems
  • Familiarity with international payments concepts (wires, ACH, SWIFT, FX)
  • Experience with AWS and cloud deployment workflows
  • Interest in security and compliance (SOC 2-aligned engineering practices)
  • Experience building internal admin or support tools
  • Experience integrating LLMs/AI into product features or internal workflows
