Morning Sun Video is seeking a Founding Engineer / Technical Lead for ALMA, a voice-first AI caring companion app designed for seniors and veterans. The role involves leading the technical build from prototype to scalable MVP, focusing on enhancing daily independence and reducing loneliness for over 50 million US seniors.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical build from prototype to scalable MVP (voice AI, memory/RAG layer, reminders, privacy-first design)
- High autonomy + direct impact on reducing loneliness and supporting independence for thousands
Skills
- Strong experience with React Native / mobile
- Strong experience with Node/Python
- Strong experience with AWS (or similar)
- Strong experience with LLMs/voice (TTS/STT)
- Strong experience with memory systems
- Passion for accessibility, seniors/veterans, or social good tech
- Self-starter comfortable in early-stage ambiguity
- Lead a group of interns through our existing UCF/USF connections
