[Remote] Microsoft Purview Administrator

They are currently seeking a Microsoft Purview Administrator to manage compliance and data governance for enterprise environments, leveraging expertise in Microsoft Purview, DLP, and eDiscovery to ensure robust information protection and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administration and support of Microsoft Purview and Microsoft 365 compliance services (DLP, eDiscovery, retention, information protection)
- Monitor system performance and ensure availability of compliance applications and services
- Troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex incidents related to compliance tools and configurations
- Execute configuration updates, system maintenance, and policy changes following established procedures
- Support implementation and maintenance of DLP, retention, and sensitivity label policies based on defined requirements
- Manage service requests, incidents, and user issues within established SLAs and operational processes
- Perform root cause analysis and document incidents, resolutions, and corrective actions
- Provide user support and guidance on system functionality, including eDiscovery and compliance tools
- Generate and maintain operational and compliance reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Coordinate with Microsoft support and client stakeholders to resolve system issues
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to operational efficiency initiatives
- Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, procedures, and support activities
- Assist with testing and validation of system updates and compliance-related changes
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies, security standards, and compliance requirements
- Provide knowledge sharing and informal guidance to less experienced team members and customer's Purview Admins
Skills
- 5+ years of experience administering Microsoft 365 environments, with at least 3+ years of experience in Microsoft Purview (Compliance / Data Governance / Information Protection)
- Experience implementing and managing data protection and compliance solutions, including Data Loss Prevention (DLP), retention policies, sensitivity labels, and eDiscovery within Microsoft Purview
- Experience with identity and access management integrations, including Azure AD / Entra ID, SSO/SAML, and understanding of compliance and security frameworks in enterprise environments
- Candidates in or aligned with the EST time zone are preferred
