[Remote] Full Stack Engineer

They are seeking a Full Stack Engineer to build and maintain a cloud-based case management system for a federal financial regulatory agency, utilizing Java and React for full stack development.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain full stack features using Java on the backend and React on the frontend
  • Build and optimize integrations with external datasets and downstream enterprise systems
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using GitHub on AWS
  • Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code aligned with DevSecOps practices
  • Ensure all interfaces meet Section 508 accessibility standards
  • Collaborate with product, design, and operations teams to deliver consistent, reliable improvements
  • Support system reliability, performance, and security within an AWS cloud environment

Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Java for backend development
  • Hands-on experience with React for frontend development
  • Experience working in AWS environments including services such as Aurora PostgreSQL, S3, CloudWatch, and Secrets Manager
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices
  • Thrives in a remote, collaborative Agile environment and genuinely enjoys working closely with a cross-functional team
  • Communicates clearly and openly, whether in a code review or a cross-team planning session
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Understanding of federal security compliance frameworks including FISMA and NIST 800-53 is a plus
  • Experience integrating with enterprise data systems or APIs is a plus
