[Remote] Financial Subject Matter Expert (SME) - AI Training & Evaluation (United States)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Volga Partners is seeking experienced finance professionals to support the training and evaluation of advanced AI systems used for financial reasoning, analysis, and decision-making. The role involves reviewing and evaluating AI-generated financial content, assessing accuracy, and providing structured feedback to improve AI model performance.
Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate AI-generated financial content
- Assess financial accuracy, logic, and business relevance
- Create and review finance-related prompts, scenarios, and analytical exercises
- Identify errors, unsupported assumptions, and reasoning gaps
- Provide structured feedback to improve AI model performance
- Evaluate complex financial concepts and explain findings clearly
- Collaborate with project teams to maintain quality standards
- Meet project deadlines and productivity expectations
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Investment Banking, Operational Finance & Assurance, FP&A, Quantitative Finance, Corporate Finance, Asset Management, Financial Consulting, or related disciplines
- Strong written English communication skills
- Exceptional analytical and critical-thinking abilities
- Ability to evaluate financial content and clearly explain reasoning
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- CFA Charterholder or CFA Candidate
- CPA, FRM, MBA Finance, Master's in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
- Experience in financial modeling, valuation, forecasting, budgeting, investment analysis, risk management, or quantitative research
- Experience reviewing technical, analytical, or research-based content
- Previous experience with AI training, model evaluation, data annotation, research projects, or knowledge-based work is highly desirable
