[Remote] Network Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. BrothersTech is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support enterprise network infrastructure across multi-site and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, network security, and troubleshooting complex network issues while supporting business-critical operations.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, and SD-WAN environments
- Configure and troubleshoot Cisco, Juniper, Arista, or similar networking equipment
- Manage routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and MPLS connectivity
- Implement and support VPN technologies (Site-to-Site, Remote Access, IPSec)
- Configure and maintain firewalls such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA, or Check Point
- Monitor network performance and proactively identify bottlenecks
- Perform network capacity planning, upgrades, and optimization
- Collaborate with cloud teams to support networking in AWS, Azure, and GCP environments
- Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures
- Participate in on-call support and incident resolution activities
- Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on Network Engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, STP
- BGP, OSPF, EIGRP
- MPLS and SD-WAN
- VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN)
- Network Security and Firewall Management
- Experience with Cisco Nexus, Catalyst, ISR, ASR, Meraki, or equivalent platforms
- Experience with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, or ThousandEyes
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Certifications such as: CCNA
- CCNP Enterprise
- CCIE (Preferred)
- Palo Alto PCNSE
- Fortinet NSE
- Experience supporting cloud networking in AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Knowledge of network automation using Python, Ansible, Terraform, or REST APIs
- Experience with Zero Trust Architecture
- Experience with SASE solutions
- Exposure to F5 Load Balancers
- Experience in Healthcare, Banking, Telecom, or Financial Services environments
