Position Overview: Customer Service Representative

We are currently hiring motivated, customer-focused individuals to join our remote Claims Contact Center team as a Customer Service Representative. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for customers navigating the often-stressful experience of a potential total loss vehicle claim. Working primarily with Claims Adjusters from the nation's top insurance carriers, you will process inbound telephone calls and accurately enter critical vehicle data into our proprietary platform. This is a non-sales, non-collections position focused entirely on delivering exceptional service during one of the most important moments in our customers' lives.

To ensure your success, arenaflex provides all the necessary equipment, including a desktop computer, dual monitors, keyboard, mouse, webcam, and headset, delivered directly to your door. Whether you are an experienced customer service professional or someone looking to break into the insurance industry, this position offers comprehensive paid training, ongoing support, and a clear pathway for career advancement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle Inbound Customer Calls: Receive initial inbound calls from customers who have experienced a potential total loss of their vehicle, providing empathetic and professional service from the first moment of contact.
  • Collect Vehicle Information: Gather all pertinent vehicle details, including make, model, year, mileage, condition, and other essential data points, using active listening and probing questions to ensure nothing is missed.
  • Data Entry and Verification: Accurately input all vehicle information into the arenaflex claims platform, double-checking each entry for completeness and precision to support downstream processing.
  • Communicate Vehicle Values: Retrieve and communicate vehicle valuation information from the proprietary database to callers in a clear, compassionate, and easy-to-understand manner.
  • Route Complex Cases: Identify vehicles or situations that require additional research or specialized handling, and forward these calls to the appropriate departments or senior adjusters.
  • Adhere to Performance Standards: Meet or exceed established benchmarks for attendance, production volume, quality assurance, and other key performance metrics.
  • Document Interactions: Maintain thorough and accurate records of all customer interactions, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Continuous Learning: Participate in ongoing training sessions, coaching, and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and industry knowledge.

Essential Qualifications

  • Educational Background: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Customer Service Experience: Minimum of one to two years of prior customer service experience in a call center, retail, hospitality, or related environment.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and patiently.
  • Self-Motivation: A driven, self-starter attitude with the ability to remain productive and focused in a remote work environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Outstanding organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring data accuracy in every interaction.
  • Positive Attitude: A genuine desire to provide outstanding customer service and a naturally positive disposition, even when handling difficult conversations.
  • Technical Aptitude: Strong comfort level with computers, web-based applications, and the ability to learn new software systems quickly.
  • Independent Work Style: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high productivity and quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in insurance, automotive, or claims processing (training will be provided, so this is a plus but not required).
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly valued.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms or contact center software.
  • Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment.

Remote Work Environment Requirements

To thrive in this remote role, you will need:

  • A quiet, professional home workspace free from distractions where you can focus on customer interactions.
  • A reliable high-speed internet connection: DSL or cable modem (non-cellular) with minimum speeds of 25 Mbps download and 15 Mbps upload.
  • A dedicated space where you can set up your provided equipment and maintain privacy during customer calls.

  • Comprehensive Health Insurance: Medical, dental, and vision coverage available from your very first day of employment.
  • Paid Time Off: Generous PTO policy to help you recharge and maintain work-life balance.
