About arenaflex

arenaflex is a leading health‑care solutions provider dedicated to simplifying the health‑care experience, building healthier communities, and removing barriers to quality care. Our mission is to help people live healthier lives while making the health‑care system more responsive, affordable, and equitable. As a remote‑first organization, arenaflex empowers its employees to work from anywhere in the United States, fostering a culture of flexibility, innovation, and purpose‑driven impact.

Why This Role Matters

As a Provider Customer Services Call and Chat Representative, you will be the front‑line advocate for health‑care providers—physicians, clinics, billing offices, and other professionals—who rely on arenaflex to deliver timely, accurate information. Your work directly influences the quality of care that millions of members receive, ensuring providers can focus on what they do best: caring for patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advocate for providers, demonstrating accountability and ownership to resolve inquiries and issues.
  • Engage with providers across multiple channels—including inbound phone calls and concurrent chat sessions—delivering consistent, high‑quality support.
  • Triage and prioritize contacts from health‑care professionals, quickly identifying the nature of each request (benefits & eligibility, billing & payments, clinical authorizations, explanations of benefits, behavioral health, etc.).
  • Research complex prior‑authorization and claim issues, taking decisive steps to resolve them and prevent repeat contacts.
  • Collaborate with internal partners across the C&S, M&R, and E&I lines of business to ensure seamless issue resolution and clear communication back to providers.
  • Navigate and extract data from more than 30 internal systems, maintaining accuracy while multitasking across diverse provider types and call categories.
  • Promote arenaflex’s self‑service digital tools, guiding providers on how to use these platforms for faster resolutions and reduced call volume.
  • Document interactions thoroughly in the CRM, adhering to quality and compliance standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training, coaching, and performance reviews to continuously improve service delivery.

Essential Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • At least 1 year of customer‑service experience, preferably with a focus on problem analysis and resolution.
  • Proficiency with Windows PC applications and the ability to quickly learn new, complex software systems.
  • Typing speed of 35–40 words per minute with a minimum 90% accuracy rate.
  • Availability to work full‑time (40 hours/week) on an 8‑hour shift schedule between 10:35 AM – 7:05 PM CST, Monday through Friday. Flexibility for occasional overtime, weekends, or holidays is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in health‑care settings or familiarity with health‑care terminology (e.g., CPT, ICD‑10, EOB).
  • Experience in a call‑center or office environment where phones and computers are primary tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle high‑volume, multi‑task environments while maintaining composure and empathy.

Soft Skills & Core Competencies

  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills to dissect complex issues and devise effective solutions.

  • Active Listening & Comprehension: Capture details accurately and confirm understanding before acting.
  • Written Communication: Clear, concise, and professional written responses in chat and email.
  • Time Management: Efficiently prioritize tasks to meet service level agreements and quality standards.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with cross‑functional teams to resolve issues and share knowledge.

Telecommuting Requirements

  • Dedicated, private workspace separate from household traffic to ensure confidentiality of member and provider information.
  • Reliable high‑speed internet connection that meets arenaflex’s approved standards.
  • Secure handling of all company‑sensitive documents and data in accordance with arenaflex’s Telecommuter Policy.
  • Compliance with all applicable data‑privacy and security regulations.
