About arenaflex – Pioneering the Future of Global Infrastructure

arenaflex is a world‑leading technology company that designs, builds, and operates some of the most advanced data center and server farm infrastructures on the planet. Our hardware platforms power billions of daily interactions, from search and cloud services to emerging AI workloads. At arenaflex, we believe that innovative hardware, combined with relentless operational excellence, is the backbone of a connected world. As a member of our Remote Data Entry & Manufacturing Engineering team, you will help shape the next generation of high‑performance, high‑availability systems that keep our customers online 24/7.

Why This Role Matters

Our Data Center Equipment Manufacturing Engineers are the unsung heroes who translate product concepts into repeatable, cost‑effective manufacturing processes. By ensuring that every component—from high‑voltage power modules to precision‑engineered server racks—is built to exacting standards, you directly influence the reliability, scalability, and sustainability of arenaflex’s global infrastructure. This is a remote‑first position, giving you the flexibility to work from anywhere in the United States while collaborating with cross‑functional teams across engineering, product, and operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and manage flexible manufacturing processes for high‑volume data‑center hardware, focusing on cost reduction, quality improvement, and scalability.
  • Partner with Product Management, Design, and Operations teams to identify and mitigate manufacturing risks early in the product development lifecycle.
  • Analyze complex engineering data to drive data‑driven manufacturing decisions, optimizing throughput and yield across the supply chain.
  • Lead supplier evaluation and qualification, ensuring that vendors meet arenaflex’s stringent performance, reliability, and sustainability criteria.
  • Utilize Product Data Management (PDM) tools to create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM), Approved Vendor Lists (AVL), and manage Engineering Change Notices (ECN) and Requests (ECR).
  • Drive Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) initiatives, overseeing configuration, version control, and documentation for all hardware components.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and 8D problem‑solving methodologies to continuously improve process efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Support high‑voltage power system design and deployment for server farms, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational reliability.
  • Travel up to 30% of the time to supplier sites, data center locations, and internal labs for hands‑on validation, audits, and collaborative workshops.
  • Mentor junior engineers and interns, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in assembly, quality, reliability, or product design roles, preferably within high‑volume hardware manufacturing.
  • At least 6 years of hands‑on experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools and processes.
  • 5+ years of experience designing and executing high‑voltage power solutions for data‑center environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement manufacturing processes that meet cost, quality, and scalability targets.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex engineering data and translate it into actionable manufacturing strategies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of influencing cross‑functional teams and external suppliers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
  • Proven track record of delivering yield improvements and cycle‑time reductions for high‑complexity, high‑volume parts.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and 8D problem‑solving frameworks.
  • Background in charging infrastructure for server farms or large‑scale data‑center power systems.
  • Ability to influence electrical design and manufacturing processes at a strategic level.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as IEC, UL, and ISO 9001 for hardware manufacturing.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of electrical design, high‑voltage systems, and manufacturing engineering principles.
  • Data‑Driven Decision Making: Proficiency with statistical analysis tools, Excel, and PLM/PDM software (e.g., Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill).
  • Project Leadership: Ability to lead multidisciplinary projects from concept through production launch.
  • Process Optimization: Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with product designers, supply chain managers, and operations teams.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable navigating a fast‑paced, evolving technology environment while maintaining high standards of quality.

Career Growth & Learning Opportunities

arenaflex invests heavily in the professional development of its engineers. In this role, you will have access to:

  • Mentorship from senior hardware architects and manufacturing leaders.
  • Sponsored certifications in Lean Six Sigma, PLM tools, and high‑voltage safety standards.
  • Opportunities to lead high‑visibility projects that directly impact global data‑center operations.
  • Cross‑functional rotations that broaden your expertise across product design, supply chain, and field operations.
  • Regular knowledge‑sharing sessions, tech talks, and internal hackathons focused on hardware innovation.
