[Remote] Vice President of Sales - Battery

They are seeking a Vice President of Sales to lead the global commercial strategy and customer engagement in the lithium-ion battery sector, aiming to scale revenue and establish long-term partnerships with key manufacturers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company’s commercial strategy across global battery markets
- Build and manage relationships with lithium-ion battery manufacturers, OEMs, and strategic supply chain partners
- Lead customer qualification and commercialization efforts for advanced battery materials
- Manage the full commercial lifecycle from early technical engagement through long-term supply agreements
- Support strategic partnerships, joint development programs, and customer expansion initiatives
- Collaborate closely with technical and operations teams to align customer requirements with manufacturing capabilities
- Develop sales forecasts, pricing strategies, market intelligence, and pipeline management processes
- Represent the company at customer meetings, industry events, and commercial negotiations globally
- Build and lead a high-performing commercial organization as the business scales
Skills
- 10+ years of commercial or business development experience within the battery materials or lithium-ion battery industry
- Proven track record selling technical products into battery manufacturers or OEM supply chains
- Strong understanding of battery qualification cycles, supply agreements, and customer approval processes
- Experience managing strategic accounts and complex commercial negotiations
- Demonstrated success scaling commercial operations in high-growth industrial or technology environments
- Strong technical communication skills and ability to interface with engineering and procurement stakeholders
- Experience working internationally across Asia, North America, and/or Europe
- Existing relationships with major battery manufacturers, cell producers, or EV supply chain companies
- Experience with advanced anode materials or critical battery raw materials
- Familiarity with global battery manufacturing expansion trends and localization strategies
- Background in startup, scale-up, or rapidly growing industrial organizations
