[Remote] Full Court Press: Part\-Time Graphic Design, Website, Video, and Social Media Specialists (Fractional\/Contract)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Cause Capacity is a communications firm focused on helping organizations communicate about social change initiatives. They are seeking part-time Graphic Design, Website, Video, and Social Media Specialists to provide short-term support on client projects, including website management, social media content creation, and email campaign design.
Responsibilities
- Ability to maintain and update existing WordPress websites built with Elementor
- Conduct regular website maintenance and security checks
- Troubleshoot and address website issues when needed
- Make limited updates and changes to the website
- Ensure websites remain in compliance with ADA standards
- Monitor website performance using Google Analytics and provide insights and recommendations to improve traffic, engagement, and conversion metrics
- Ability to build new WordPress websites and provide ongoing support
- Conceptualize a visual identity, site map, and website layout
- Design and build the website (no coding experience required)
- Implement graphic and text changes
- Implement SEO optimization and final backend setup before launch
- Monitor website performance using Google Analytics and provide insights and recommendations to improve traffic, engagement, and conversion metrics
- Troubleshoot and address website issues when needed
- Make limited updates and changes to the website on an ongoing basis
- Ability to design and edit social media graphics in Canva
- Create visually appealing designs using the provided text and direction
- Edit and incorporate feedback and input
- Finalize and provide ready to share files
- Ability to conceptualize, script, and edit social media videos in CapCut
- Provide recommended types of social media videos to create
- Develop a video script that includes a compelling hook and a strong CTA
- Develop a plan to capture needed footage for videos
- Edit raw footage into a shareable product for social media using CapCut
- Edit and incorporate feedback and input
- Finalize and provide ready to share files
- Bonus: Capture social media video content in-person (must be located in the Bay Area)
- Ability to conceptualize and run successful social media ad campaigns on Meta Business Suite
- Conceptualize a recommended ad campaign taking into account the project's goals, audiences, and budget
- Implement and run the ad campaign, including creating ad copy and visuals and adjusting according to performance metrics
- Provide reporting and analytics throughout the campaign
- Ability to create compelling email campaigns in MailChimp
- Managing and segmenting contact lists
- Designing email templates and writing compelling copy
- Reporting on campaign performance and making recommendations on adjustments
- Ability to design a wide range of compelling visual materials, including brochures, reports, billboards, digital ads, logos, and more, in both Canva and InDesign
- Conceptualize design ideas and create branding, including mood boards
- Create visually appealing designs using the provided text and direction
- Edit and incorporate feedback and input
- Finalize and provide ready to share files
Skills
- 4-5 years of professional experience in graphic design, website management, video editing, or social media strategy
- Ability to maintain and update existing WordPress websites built with Elementor
- Conduct regular website maintenance and security checks
- Troubleshoot and address website issues when needed
- Make limited updates and changes to the website
- Ensure websites remain in compliance with ADA standards

- Experience working either as a freelancer or in-house, ideally with non-profits, foundations, communications or marketing agencies, mission-focused businesses, or political campaigns
- Proactive approach to getting work done and experience tracking multiple projects and priorities
- Strong attention to detail, focusing on accuracy and thoroughness
- Strong bias for action and seek ways to proactively overcome obstacles and complete projects
- Comfortable working in a remote, fast-moving, and client-facing environment
- Proficiency in WordPress, Squarespace, and other website platforms
- Proficiency in Elementor
- Proficiency in InDesign
