[Remote] Strategic Finance Manager

The Strategic Finance Manager leads business strategy and data analysis, aligning financial goals with business objectives and providing insights for strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a detailed 3-statement financial model, valuation model, and other relevant industry and market models to support strategic decision-making
  • Support strategic short and long-term business decisions through financial modeling and analysis of investment opportunities
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to leadership on company financial performance, including metrics to help meet long-term growth plans
  • Develop forecasts and analysis regarding customer and ARR-related metrics, while providing thought leadership on the implications of these metrics
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities through variance analysis, scenario modeling, and sensitivity analysis
  • Develop and present dashboards, reports, and executive summaries highlighting financial performance and KPIs to senior leadership

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of related experience in a senior financial or strategic role, preferably in Enterprise SaaS within a high-growth environment
  • Prior experience in investment banking with a strong understanding of financial statements — including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement
  • Strong financial modeling skills
  • Strong experience with FP&A and BI analytics tools, including Adaptive Insights and Power BI
  • Strong business partnering experience with a demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional leaders
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain solid rapport with team members and professionalism with those outside of the department
  • Experience at a Private Equity portfolio company
  • Excellent leadership, sound judgment, and business acumen with a track record of driving strategic outcomes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct market analysis and industry benchmarking to inform and shape growth strategies
