[Remote] Senior GL Accountant

They are seeking a detail-oriented Senior General Ledger Accountant to join their growing Accounting team, responsible for a range of general ledger accounting activities and partnering cross-functionally to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules across a variety of general ledger accounts, including Cash, Prepaids, Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable, Leases, Investments, Payroll, and other balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Payroll, PeopleOps, Legal, and other business stakeholders to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial information
- Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes by analyzing financial results, investigating variances and discrepancies, and ensuring accurate financial reporting
- Perform flux and variance analyses across key accounts, leveraging data analytics and AI-enabled tools to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights
- Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and internal control enhancements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability within the accounting function
- Support external audits, special projects, system implementations, and other accounting initiatives as needed
Skills
- 5+ years of experience in general ledger accounting or a similar role, ideally in a high-growth SaaS environment
- You have a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA a plus
- You have a strong understanding of US GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
- You're highly proficient in Excel and comfortable working with large datasets; experience with AI-enabled tools is a plus
- You have hands-on experience with ERP systems; NetSuite preferred
- Strong critical thinking skills with a track record of identifying discrepancies and implementing process improvements
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining proper audit-ready support for all entries
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight month-end deadlines
- Excellent communication skills to partner with cross-functional teams
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future employer sponsorship
- Open to using AI to amplify their skills and strengthen their work - demonstrating curiosity, a willingness to learn, and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact
- SaaS industry experience is a plus, particularly in high-growth environments
