About arenaflex and the HRIS Team
arenaflex is a forward-thinking, employee-focused organization that understands the power of accurate, timely, and actionable information. Our Shared Services HR Department supports thousands of team members by delivering best-in-class systems, processes, and analytics. The HRIS group within arenaflex serves as the backbone of this effort — configuring, maintaining, and continuously improving the technology platforms that power everything from payroll to performance management.
As a member of this team, you will partner with stakeholders across regions and functions to ensure data quality, deliver insightful reports, troubleshoot system issues, and contribute to ongoing HR technology initiatives. You will collaborate with business intelligence tools, advanced HRIS platforms such as SAP/Employee Central, and Microsoft Office applications to bring clarity to complex data sets.
Key Responsibilities
As the HRIS Data Analytics & Reporting Specialist at arenaflex, your day-to-day work will involve a blend of system configuration, data analysis, end-user support, and project coordination. Your core responsibilities will include:
- HR System Configuration and Maintenance: Support the configuration, coordination, and ongoing maintenance of HRIS functionality. Prepare and communicate user test plans, manage releases, and ensure system changes are well-documented and aligned with business needs.
- End-User Support and Access Management: Provide timely and professional support to internal customers by troubleshooting system issues, enhancing user experience, and approving system access in accordance with established security protocols and governance standards.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Execute test scripts for new data elements and system releases. Document and analyze test results, identify discrepancies, and collaborate with IT and business partners to resolve issues before go-live.
- Documentation and Training Support: Develop system and process documentation that supports new implementations and ongoing user training. Ensure knowledge is captured, shared, and easily accessible across the HRIS team.
- Data Integration and Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with HR, IT, Finance, Payroll, and other departments to ensure accurate, well-supported data integrations across relevant systems. Coordinate with stakeholders to validate that data flows correctly and consistently.
- Data Quality and Integrity Checks: Perform routine data quality assessments to proactively identify anomalies or errors. Report findings to HRIS Management and recommend corrective actions that maintain the integrity of employee-related data.
- Reporting and Business Intelligence: Design, schedule, and execute standard and ad-hoc reports using multiple data sources. Leverage Business Intelligence tools, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Access to perform specialized formatting, analysis, and processing of reports.
- Consultative Reporting Solutions: Consult with end users to understand their reporting needs and recommend solutions at the basic to mid-level complexity. Translate technical terminology into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
- Trend Analysis and Recommendations: Analyze historical HR data from multiple systems, identify patterns and trends, and present findings with actionable recommendations to appropriate stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Project Support and Coordination: Provide support on HRIS initiatives and potentially lead a phase of a larger project, including testing, documentation, and coordination of project team activities and deliverables.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following baseline requirements:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree, OR a High School Diploma/GED combined with at least three years of experience analyzing and reporting data (such as Human Resources data, financial analysis, or data integrity work).

- Customer Service Orientation: Demonstrated experience providing high-quality customer support to internal and external clients, including meeting service standards and assessing customer satisfaction.
- Analytical Thinking: Proven ability to analyze and report data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions — and to use those insights to drive improvements and recommend solutions.
- Self-Direction: Experience accomplishing goals with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative, accountability, and sound judgment in knowing when to escalate issues.
- Microsoft Excel Proficiency: Intermediate-level skills, including use of SUM functions, formatting, charts, sorting, headers and footers, and print scaling.
- Willingness to Travel: Ability to travel up to 5% of the time for business purposes, including occasional out-of-state travel.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates who bring any of the following skills and experiences will be given priority consideration:

- Time Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize, and track multiple initiatives with varying completion dates.
- Project Management Experience: Familiarity with planning, organizing, and managing resources to deliver successful project outcomes.
- Communication Skills: Ability to explain technical information clearly and concisely to non-technical audiences.
- Cross-Functional Solution Design: Experience gathering requirements, developing solutions, and integrating cross-functional system improvements.
- Advanced HRIS Knowledge: Prior experience supporting HRIS platforms, particularly SAP Employee Central, Employee Central Payroll, learning management systems, performance management, and succession planning.
- HR Domain Knowledge: Understanding of Human Resources concepts, practices, and procedures across Benefits, Payroll, Employee Relations, Performance Management, and Training.
- Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency: Basic to intermediate skills in Microsoft Access, PowerPoint, and Word, with the ability to create reports, presentations, and formatted documents.
