  • Spreadsheet Creation & Management: Build and maintain complex spreadsheets containing large volumes of numerical data, ensuring formulas, formatting, and data integrity are error‑free.
  • Data Verification: Cross‑check entered data against source documents, flagging discrepancies and performing corrective actions in a timely manner.
  • Database Updates: Perform routine updates to existing records, including adding new fields, correcting outdated information, and archiving obsolete entries.
  • Data Retrieval & Reporting: Respond to internal requests for data extracts, generate ad‑hoc reports, and assist team members in locating specific records.

  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline data entry workflows, propose automation ideas, and collaborate with IT to implement efficiency‑boosting tools.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in business administration, information systems, or related fields is a plus.
  • Proven experience (at least 1‑2 years) as a data entry clerk, transcriptionist, or in a comparable role that required high‑volume data handling.
  • Fast, accurate typing skills with a demonstrated typing speed of 70+ words per minute and a touch‑typing proficiency.

  • Strong command of written and spoken English, with excellent grammar, punctuation, and customer‑service communication abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with a track record of delivering error‑free work under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive business information.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Exposure to cloud‑based collaboration tools (Google Workspace, Microsoft Teams, Slack) and remote‑work best practices.
  • Prior experience in e‑commerce, logistics, or retail data environments, providing context for the types of data you will manage.
  • Certification in Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) or similar credentials.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to new software, processes, and evolving business requirements.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Organizational Excellence: Ability to prioritize multiple data entry tasks, keep digital and physical files orderly, and meet daily productivity targets.
