About arenaflex and the Opportunity Ahead

Are you a curious, analytically minded professional who is energized by the challenge of turning complex datasets into actionable business intelligence? Do you enjoy collaborating with cross-functional partners to uncover insights that drive strategic decisions? If you are driven by the desire to understand the business mechanics behind memorable experiences and want to contribute to data-driven innovation from a remote setting, arenaflex has an exciting opportunity for you.

arenaflex is a forward-thinking organization committed to leveraging advanced analytics, statistical modeling, and data science to shape strategy across marketing, sales, and broader commercial investments. Our analytics division works at the intersection of consumer behavior, media performance, and business optimization, building state-of-the-art statistical models that deliver clear, impactful insights to senior leadership and business partners across the globe.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a remote work environment but wants to remain deeply connected to high-impact projects, strategic decision-making, and a collaborative analytics community. As a part-time remote professional, you will contribute meaningfully to model development, data interpretation, and the presentation of findings that shape the direction of our global marketing and sales initiatives.

Position Summary

As the Advanced Analytics & Optimization Manager – Data Entry & Statistical Modeling Specialist, you will serve as an individual contributor reporting to the Manager of Domestic Media Analytics. You will be embedded within our Consumer Insight, Measurement & Analytics (CIMA) team, which sits within the broader commercial and experiences division of arenaflex. CIMA’s mission is to enable fact-based, consumer-centric decision-making through integrated, objective, and high-quality insights.

In this role, you will apply a range of advanced statistical methodologies to develop insights into our global marketing investments, build sophisticated forecasting programs, and lead data mining initiatives that inform the broader analytics organization. You will work directly with senior leadership and key business partners, translating complex modeling results into clear, consultative narratives that drive measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, refine, and maintain Marketing Mix Models (MMM) across multiple business units to evaluate the effectiveness of media and marketing investments.
  • Transform model outputs into strategic insights that help partners understand historical media performance, identify trends, and inform future planning.
  • Design, build, and deploy additional statistical models that address business-critical questions across marketing, sales, and consumer engagement.
  • Create and deliver polished, insight-driven analytic presentations for senior leadership, translating technical findings into clear business recommendations.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover patterns, validate data integrity, and generate hypotheses that deepen understanding of business operations.
  • Mine large, complex datasets using R, Python, SQL, and other tools to surface trends, anomalies, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define analytical questions, scope projects, and ensure deliverables meet business needs.
  • Document methodologies, assumptions, and model outputs to ensure reproducibility, transparency, and knowledge sharing across the team.
  • Stay current on industry best practices, emerging analytical techniques, and new technologies that can elevate the team’s modeling capabilities.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates should bring a strong foundation in analytics, statistical modeling, and data-driven storytelling. Specifically, we are looking for:

  • Education: A Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Mining, Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research, or a closely related quantitative discipline.
  • Experience: A minimum of two years of hands-on experience applying diverse analytic, data mining, and machine learning methodologies, including multivariate regression, mixed models, clustering, time-series regression, and forecasting.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong programming skills in R or Python for data mining, statistical analysis, and model development.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with a proven track record of summarizing and presenting sophisticated analytics to senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Analytical Curiosity: A natural inclination to ask questions, explore data, and dig deeper to understand the “why” behind the numbers.
  • Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to data validation, model accuracy, and quality assurance.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates who bring the following experiences and skills will be particularly well-suited for this role:

  • A Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Mining, Computer Science, Engineering, or Operations Research.
  • Demonstrated ability to scale R or Python code for high-performance data mining across large datasets.
  • Prior work experience within a media agency, analytics consulting firm, or a similarly fast-paced, insight-driven environment.
  • Working knowledge of marketing or media mix modeling principles and best practices.
  • Deep expertise in advanced data mining techniques and statistical methodologies.
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases, including the ability to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from complex sources.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms, visualization tools, and modern data engineering practices.

Skills and Competencies for Success

Beyond technical qualifications, the ideal candidate will demonstrate a blend of analytical rigor, business acumen, and interpersonal skill. Success in this role requires the ability to:

  • Think Critically: Approach business problems with structured, hypothesis-driven analysis and challenge assumptions when needed.
  • Communicate with Impact: Translate complex statistical outputs into compelling narratives that resonate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
