About the Role

We are seeking a motivated, detail‑oriented Part‑Time Financial Analyst to join our Global Merchant & Network Services (GM&NS) Revenue Management team. In this remote position, you will focus on merchant rebate revenue—one of the largest revenue streams for arenaflex. You will work closely with cross‑functional partners across finance, analytics, and merchant operations to ensure accurate reporting, drive process improvements, and uncover insights that shape strategic decisions. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys turning raw data into actionable intelligence while contributing to the financial health of a world‑class organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce a monthly Canada‑wide merchant rebate revenue report, tracking actual performance against forecast and identifying key drivers of variance.
  • Develop and maintain merchant rebate revenue scorecards for the Canada region, providing clear visualizations for senior leadership.
  • Lead normalization and communication initiatives across multiple regional pricing teams to ensure consistency in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Support external audits by investigating identified issues, coordinating with regional pricing teams, and managing remediation actions.
  • Conduct ad‑hoc data analyses to assess rebate rate fluctuations, surface trends, and deliver data‑driven recommendations.
  • Collaborate with finance, merchant services, and technology partners to enhance data pipelines, improve data quality, and automate recurring reporting tasks.
  • Prepare concise executive summaries and presentations that translate complex financial models into clear, business‑focused insights.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, offering expertise on pricing strategy, revenue optimization, and risk mitigation.

Essential Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in financial services, payments industry, or a related finance role.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; finance, accounting, business administration, or a closely related field strongly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, macros) and solid working knowledge of SQL or SAS for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Analytical Ability: Demonstrated capacity to build sophisticated financial models, interpret large data sets, and extract actionable insights.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
  • Collaboration: Proven track record of influencing cross‑functional teams and managing stakeholder expectations in fast‑paced environments.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy, data integrity, and meticulous documentation.
  • Customer‑Centric Mindset: Passion for understanding client needs and delivering solutions that enhance merchant satisfaction.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, or CIMA.
  • Experience with data‑visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to create interactive dashboards.
  • Background in pricing strategy, revenue management, or merchant rebate programs.
  • Familiarity with cloud‑based data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift) and ETL processes.
  • Previous remote work experience with a proven ability to stay productive and engaged.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Problem‑Solving: Innovative thinker who challenges conventional approaches and proposes creative solutions to complex financial challenges.
  • Project Management: Ability to own end‑to‑end projects—from data gathering through analysis to implementation—while meeting deadlines.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship‑building capabilities; comfortable influencing senior leaders and collaborating with diverse teams.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a high‑velocity, dynamic environment where priorities can shift quickly.
  • Ethical Judgment: Commitment to the highest standards of integrity and confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information.
