Lead Project Management Specialist
Job Description:
- support the respective Project Director in planning and executing contracts for the design and construction of new nuclear power plants
- manage the quality, cost, and schedule of the execution process
- assist Project Director in organizing project cost structure in Oracle ERP
- participate in customer, internal, and/or supplier project kickoff meetings
- support the Project Director with preparation & coordination of customer, internal, and/or supplier kickoff meetings
- develop and maintain a project roster including assigning and monitoring timely completion of project related training activities
- support the development & issuance of the Project Management Plan & related project plans and project procedures
- ensure compliance with U. S. government requirements as applicable
- support coordination of project activities; monitor and control progress on project deliverables
- organize and archive project correspondence and records consistent with Project Configuration Management Plan
- lead, draft, and issue project management meeting notes, action item lists, and project progress reports
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- minimum of 2 years managing projects (nuclear preferred but any energy or other large scale projects)
- demonstrated organizational skills, particularly when related to project execution
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or STEM
- fundamental-level financial or accounting knowledge
- experience or familiarity with Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) or Sodium Fast Reactor (SFR) designs
- knowledge of the power industry, customer, and competitive environment
- demonstrated ability supporting project budget, schedule, and quality objectives
- financial control knowledge and understanding
- demonstrated ability to take initiative and to work independently
- extreme attention to detail, follow up, highly organized
- demonstrated ability to balance workload under short deadlines and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
- exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
