  • Design & Maintain Data Pipelines: Build and sustain pipelines that ingest, process, and analyze large‑scale datasets from diverse sources such as user activity logs, content consumption events, and subscription transactions.
  • Collaborate with Engineering Teams: Partner with engineers throughout the development lifecycle to embed data collection and reporting capabilities directly into product features.
  • Deliver Actionable Insights: Translate complex data sets into clear, concise visualizations and dashboards using tools like Tableau, enabling stakeholders at all technical levels to make informed decisions.
  • Communicate Across the Organization: Present findings to a wide audience—from senior leadership to product owners—articulating the business impact of data trends and recommendations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance data quality, streamline processes, and introduce new metrics that drive operational excellence.

Essential Qualifications

  • Proven experience applying statistical inference and machine learning techniques to extract actionable insights from large datasets.
  • Hands‑on expertise designing intuitive schemas and statistical models for petabyte‑scale data environments.
  • Strong command of modern data‑science tech stacks, including Python, SQL, and Spark, as well as data‑visualization platforms such as Tableau.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguous environments, take ownership of projects, and deliver results with minimal supervision.
  • Positive, growth‑mindset attitude that welcomes feedback and actively seeks opportunities for personal and team improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a fast‑paced, consumer‑facing technology company or streaming media environment.
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerized workflows.
  • Knowledge of product analytics, A/B testing frameworks, and experiment design.
  • Previous exposure to operational metrics for engineering performance, reliability, and tool health.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to dissect complex problems, identify root causes, and propose data‑driven solutions.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable writing efficient SQL queries, developing Python scripts, and leveraging Spark for distributed processing.
  • Data Visualization: Skilled at creating compelling dashboards that highlight key performance indicators and trends.
