As a Lead Data Engineer at arenaflex, you will be at the heart of our data‑centric strategy. You’ll design, build, and maintain the data infrastructure that powers critical business decisions, from product configuration and pricing analytics to customer acquisition and market expansion. Key Responsibilities

  • Architect Data Solutions: Lead the design and implementation of scalable data products and data warehouses that support arenaflex’s Commitment and Maintenance Investigation and Data Science initiatives.
  • Build Robust ETL Pipelines: Develop, test, and maintain ETL pipelines in large‑scale data environments (cloud, on‑premise, hybrid) using industry‑leading technologies.
  • Leverage Cutting‑Edge Tech Stack: Work with Hadoop, AWS, Snowflake, Flink, and Kafka, writing production‑grade code in Python, Scala, and Java.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with Data Product Owners, Data Modelers, and Data Architects to design, implement, and deliver high‑performance data solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Document & Govern Data: Maintain meticulous documentation of data pipelines, schema changes, and data quality metrics to support governance and compliance.
  • Ensure SLA Compliance: Monitor and optimize the performance and reliability of data solutions to meet service‑level agreements and support the needs of Data Science and Analytics teams.
  • Participate in Agile Practices: Actively contribute to Scrum ceremonies, champion continuous improvement, and help the team adopt best practices for rapid delivery.
  • Mentor Junior Engineers: Share knowledge, conduct code reviews, and foster a culture of learning and technical excellence within the data engineering team.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL with the ability to craft complex queries and optimize performance across large datasets.
  • Hands‑on experience with big‑data frameworks such as Hadoop (HDFS, Hive, Impala, PySpark) and stream‑processing platforms like Flink or Kafka.
  • Solid programming skills in Python and either Java or Scala, with a focus on building production‑grade data pipelines.
  • Experience with at least one major MPP or cloud data warehouse technology (e.g., Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery).
