Software Engineer II

It designs, develops, and deploys essential technologies, including hardware, software, and network infrastructure, supporting all products. Partner with the best As a Software Engineer II, you'll work on high-reliability/high-throughput systems that manage our customer's security certificates and configurations. Our team provides support to several other teams at Akamai who require secure delivery. Our work centers around building systems which operate at large scale, with high resilience and performance. As a Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for: Designing and developing systems capable of handling tens of thousands of concurrent operations Developing software to make efficient use of Relational Database Management Systems and NoSQL databases Creating new features from scratch, enhancing existing features and optimizing existing functionality Following good development methodology, including collaboration with testing and SQA departments to successfully deploy new system components Do what you love To be successful in this role you will: Have 2 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field Have solid experience in Java and Scala, familiarity with Python, C++, or Bash in Linux/Unix environments Have hands-on experience with Spring and Spring Boot frameworks for building scalable backend applications Gain expertise in UI technologies with practical experience using Angular to deliver efficient and effective front-end development solutions. Have experience with containerization tools such as Docker; exposure to cloud platforms like Azure Gain experience with Terraform and GoLang for effective contributions and enhanced technical proficiency in relevant projects. Demonstrate experience with SQL, relational databases like Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres, and NoSQL databases such as Elasticsearch or Cassandra. Demonstrate expertise using version control tools like Git and project tracking platforms such as Jira effectively.
