As our HRLR Site Lead, you will be the cornerstone of our people strategy, working shoulder-to-shoulder with site leadership to build engagement, strengthen working relationships, attract top talent, and drive organizational excellence.

About the Role

This is a full-time, onsite leadership position reporting directly to the Charlotte facility five days per week. You will serve as the primary HR and Labor Relations business partner for the site, providing both strategic direction and hands-on operational support. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded HR professional with demonstrated labor relations expertise, strong business acumen, and the interpersonal finesse to navigate complex employee relations matters with confidence and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Partnership & Site Leadership

  • Partner closely with the Plant Manager and site leadership team to drive arenaflex culture, promote positive employee experiences, and continuously improve employee engagement across the facility
  • Provide comprehensive HR leadership for the site, including talent planning, performance management, compensation planning, recruiting, and selection activities
  • Collaborate strategically with assigned functional business leaders to improve working relationships, build engagement, increase productivity, and attract and retain exceptional talent
  • Champion enterprise-wide initiatives including Talent Spotting, Workplace of Choice, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs, and compensation planning
  • Participate in regular HR Manager and Talent Forum discussions with site leadership to align people strategy with business objectives

Labor Relations & Union Partnership

  • Promote and maintain a positive, collaborative working relationship with the union through consistent, fair application of local and national collective bargaining agreements
  • Negotiate and implement local and national agreements as required, representing arenaflex with professionalism and integrity
  • Actively participate in Joint Leadership Meetings and joint activities to strengthen labor-management cooperation
  • Ensure strict adherence to the Grievance Procedure, managing the grievance process from intake through resolution
  • Monitor day-to-day implementation of policies and agreements concerning wages, hours, and working conditions
  • Investigate, answer, and settle grievances while leading problem-resolution efforts and supporting strategic initiative implementation

Core HR Operations & Compliance

  • Champion projects that support key HR and Centers of Expertise (COE) objectives across function and country
  • Ensure that local policies, procedures, legislation, collective agreements, and regulations are administered appropriately in accordance with country and functional direction
  • Cascade company-wide communications and announcements, and develop complex-wide communications on HR/LR initiatives, process changes, and improvements that impact all employees
  • Provide appropriate business support regarding Human Capital Plan implementation
  • Support the full employee life cycle from hire to exit, serving as an escalation point of contact for uncommon or exceptional employee issues
  • Partner with Legal and Government Affairs teams to maintain in-depth knowledge of employment requirements, reduce legal risks, and ensure regulatory compliance

Safety, Training & Continuous Improvement

  • Champion assigned Workplace Safety System elements and administer local safety-related activities to maintain a safe, healthy work environment
  • Support People Involvement and the implementation of our Global Manufacturing System (GMS) framework
  • Facilitate training on HR policies, HR/LR procedures, and contractual agreements, including UAW Local and National agreements
  • Manage hourly, contract, and salaried employment administration with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Identify areas of opportunity for continuous improvement and partner with Centers of Expertise to build effective working relationships and provide constructive field perspective
  • Identify individual leadership coaching needs and deliver coaching to leaders across the site

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration, or a related field OR at least 4 years of equivalent professional experience
  • HR/LR Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience providing Human Resources and/or Labor Relations support to an organization
  • Union Environment Experience: Demonstrated experience working in a unionized environment, including negotiating and resolving conflicts

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business, or a related field
  • Understanding of occupational Health and Safety practices and regulatory requirements
  • Prior experience in warehouse, manufacturing, operations, or distribution environments
  • Highly organized with the ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and thrive in an ambiguous, fast-changing environment
  • Strong analytical and project management skills with a track record of driving results
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with employees, leaders, and union partners alike
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as modern HR applications (e.g., Workday)
  • Unwavering commitment to maintaining confidentiality regarding sensitive HR and Labor Relations matters
