[Remote] Senior Data Engineer

They are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead the evolution of their data and analytics architecture, ensuring data quality and driving improvements to support internal teams and external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and deliver trusted data sets and services from complex data sources and environments for DTN customers and partners
  • Design and implement modern data and analytics architectures, establishing best practices for data integration, acquisition, and management
  • Provide expert-level support for complex data infrastructure and technical challenges
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across data management standards, patterns, and engineering practices
  • Develop and maintain enterprise documentation, standards, reference architectures, and reusable patterns for data acquisition, transformation, storage, and analytics consumption
  • Ensure data governance, security, and compliance standards are implemented consistently across solutions
  • Identify opportunities to improve internal processes through automation, innovation, and scalable data infrastructure solutions
  • Establish architectural direction and technical standards across the Data and Analytics domain
  • Mentor junior data engineers and provide technical leadership to cross-functional teams

Skills

  • 7+ years of data engineering experience, including data pipelines, ingestion, ETL/ELT processes, and large-scale data solutions
  • 5+ years of cloud experience across platforms such as AWS, Azure, and/or GCP
  • Advanced Python development skills for API, web, and data engineering applications
  • Strong experience with ETL processes, SQL development, and data transformation methodologies
  • Expert-level knowledge of relational database technologies including Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL
  • Deep expertise in AWS cloud services and cloud-native architecture patterns
  • Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake and AWS-native analytics solutions
  • Experience building and managing cloud and legacy infrastructure environments
  • Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs using Node.js
  • Strong understanding of REST and GraphQL API integrations and consumption patterns
  • Working knowledge of source control and versioning practices using Git
  • Experience designing highly available, scalable, and high-performance systems
  • Experience working within Agile development environments and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes technologies
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Experience with front-end technologies such as React, Angular, or Vue
  • Experience designing enterprise-wide data architectures and governance frameworks
  • Experience leading cloud modernization and large-scale data transformation initiatives
  • Experience mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership within distributed teams
  • Strong background supporting analytics-driven or data-intensive SaaS platforms
